When I read statements like this, "“the only evangelicals who are going to vote for Joe Biden are those who have sold their soul to the devil, “ ( quoted in the Christian Post, August 3, 2020)," it sounds like blasphemy to me. It's actually adding something to Scripture for us to do to obtain salvation. I wonder if the people making these statements are actually aware of what they are doing.

Also do they remember the Scripture when Joshua asked the Captain of the Lord's Host before they went into battle for Jericho.

Joshua 5:13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?

14 And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the Lord am I now come.

These "Men of God," need to take a lesson from this Captain and preach the Word, not politics.

I am really disappointed as I really had been helped in the past by their ministries. Now its hard to even listen to anything they have today.

Sorry, but writing like that is a joke -- stick to the policies of the two parties, not the personalities. We do not want to be judged by our dismal personalities, but rather by our accomplishments. Yet guys like this judge the President by his personality. Give it a rest; you are on the wrong side of Scripture on this one given the DNC policies.

Cherry pickers of the Bible.

Most of you need to read the whole Bible.

John MacArthur says he stands with the righteous side.

Republicans support God

Democrats want to get rid of God.

Back in 2012 if you did your homework you would see the democratic party did get rid of God but took a bunch of flack and had to put God back in.

So when you Pharisees get done talking.

How about studying some so you’re not called a strawman.

So yes if you voted Democrat you’re against God.

If you can Not see that there’s no helping you.

Robert Jeffress is preaching false doctrine and is not even following one of the main foundations of Baptist theology. When we accept Christ as our savior we are saved forever and we cannot "sell our souls to the Devil". I, too, pray every day for the church. These Christian brothers know Jesus but they seem to have lost their way and have done harm to their Christian witness. When the world sees them ignoring the many sins of Donald Trump just because he is pro-life, pro-gun and anti-gay, they see hypocrisy and run away from the church.

"What children have learned from Trump's White House: Never apologize; Name calling is cool; Science is stupid; Empathy is for losers; Be afraid of anyone not white; Cheating is acceptable; Bullying people is normal behavior; Spelling isn't important; Stealing from charities is ethical; Reading is a waste of time; Attacking dead people is fair game; Distort the truth as needed; Always blame others." Author unknown ~ The church Robert Jeffress grew up in and is now pastor of, fought legally to keep themselves segregated from minorities. After years of supporting and studying with John MacArthur, I can no longer bear to hear his voice. He has violated everything he ever taught about politics. As conservative Rick Wilson says, "Everything Trump Touches Dies." Our government does not force women to have abortions and it has remained legal through several presidents personally against it. I work with foster children abandoned or abused by parents who never wanted them. My church has several programs to deter women from having abortions, or even conceiving against God's plan. Thank you for the article. "FAITH ALONE IN CHRIST ALONE.

Hi Ron, Luanne Verno here. Bob’s wife. I read your article above and it really resonated with me. To be honest I cannot for the life of me understand many evangelicals!! When I watch little tiny children being separated from their parents it makes my blood boil‼️ Also putting people in cages has the same effect. Not to mention Donald Trump’s cheating in all areas of life, name calling, racism, and sexual escapades. And he’s proud of it all to boot. Now I think the main reason our other evangelical friends like Trump is because he is pro-life and because he promised to put conservative judges on the court. I plan to join Bob at the next TSG. I so appreciate your view.

Two wrongs will never make a right... Go with what God is telling you to do and stop trying to justify it. We need to pray that people will ask God instead of politicians what we should do. Where are the “sheep” hearing his voice? We are getting bogged down in the periphery and not the core issue. What is God saying now? What is he telling me to do now?

Thanks, Ron. I sent an email reply to express my sadness over these events. Have we now added another essential step to the plan of salvation? I pray that people will not be hurt or deceived by these efforts to equate following Jesus with following a politician.

Thank you, Ron. Well said, thoughtful, and a great way to live out 1 Peter 3:9.

What seems to be most demonic are the attitudes and actions that divide God's family. If followers of Jesus respect and care for each other even while disagreeing on very important issues, we would show the world the power of God's reconciling love.
