Last time I checked 661 persons had been killed by law enforcement officers this year in the US. 123 were black. You must also take into account the crime rate and how people react when arrested.

The violence is in Democrat cites and Democrat mayors are letting it happen. Trump has offered to bring in the National Guard in Portland (where recently a Trump supporter was murdered by rioters), but the mayor refuses the help.

Also, it's not so clear now that George Floyd was murdered by a policeman and that narrative should cease until all the facts have been evaluated. It's very sad, though I'm sure it was intentional, that we don't hear about the entirety of these police incidents until after the rioting and violence. We're being played and that does NOT help race relations. It makes it worse, and I think that is the intent of the lawless instigators and anarchists.

I'm not going to bore you with litany from a Canadian giving a perspective on American Politics. First of all, I do not consider myself qualified to do so. We have enough problems here in Canada without Trumps, Bidens Dems, and Repubs. My problem is coming at this from a Christian perspective. Thereis no doubt reading from your blog that your are a very intellectual man whom I do not wish to debate. You obviously are fr Biden and from how I read a Trump hater but that's between you and your conscience. What I see Trump doing is trying to preserve History. In 1905 George Santayana wrote, "Those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it." How can taking down or destroying statues etc allow young students in schools to understand statements such as this when reminders of the past are destroyed. I would appreciate men such as yourself being more bipartisan and being able to show pros and con's on all articles, men and life in general. This certainly heos against the teaching of Christ in His Ministry. I see Him as the first to allow Universal suffrage. He was the first to liberate women in time when women were less than second class. He was definitely opposed to abortion. His ministry of love was done in such a way that those who opposed Him really lost their argument. I find it so sad that we have a society that cannot reach across the aisles and find unity to some degree. I find it dishearting that our politicians cannot lead without destroying the opposition. I believe that when this world ends which it will, we will see the fraility of our humanness when we stand before God and the question is asked, What did you do to make my Kindom better, and what did you do to allow people to see my Son in you. These are just the ideas of a old preacher si I guess I can be forgiven if everyone of your readers disagree with me.

The riots led to 9,000 arrests, 1,000 injured officers, $1 billion in damages. Often of immigrant and minority owned businesses. Many of those arrested are wealthy white anarchists who attend private schools. 54 Black children under the age of 12 have been killed in street unrest so far. Minimizing this makes you complicit.

Black lives matter doesn't 'say their names' because thousands of black lives killed by other black people have no political utility. Only the handful killed by white officers matter to BLM. Buying their framing dehumanizes black people into units of political instrumentality and ignores the marginalized black voices of reason who oppose this. In the most progressive cities where defund police measures were enacted the murder rates tended to increase 3x. (Chicago, NY) This may lead to a Trump landslide as several mayors allowed the destruction to occur until their own personal property was threatened.

Dachau had 188,000 estimated inmates. Wikipedia says 41,500 were killed. This is 22%. If we apply your logic, this means Dachau was "overwhelmingly peaceful." Are you starting to see how far off the mark you are here yet?
